The Big Six

After a discussion in PVA we came up with the top six topics for our performance and we picked groups to be in to "sell" people out on the idea.

For the Medley group we have Keizar, Dom and George.

In the Traditional vs Modern group is Dandy, Rifa, Jason and me.

Those who decided to do the Tribute are Jenni, Daleescha, Tasya and Phoebe

The ones doing Forward to the Past are Johan, Rachael and Belinda

The One Hit Wonder group consists of Michael, Alysa and Fahrani

Last but not least the Legends of Music group is made up of Farah, Amyra, Najwa and Hana.

These are the groups for now. May we all persuade well and the odds be ever in your favor.

And then there was five

There were so many great ideas given (some pried out) by our PVA class but we can only have one. But of course to make it easier we narrow it down to our top five favorite ones. Not only will I tell you my favored ones, I will give you REASONS. Now HERE WE GO! (This is also in order from least to most).

5. Singing Marching Band

The singing marching band. Basically a marching band... but with singing. Self-explanatory right? I quite like this idea because all of us can contribute something. Some can dance, same can sing and other stuff. I really like the base idea. But the one problem that can ruin this is, coordination. We need to be able to coordinate our steps, actions and voices to the same tune. This could take a while to train and not very easy.

4. Kolintang Orchestra

This is simple, easy to play and execute. Most of us (save one) knows how to play the kolintang but even then it won't be too hard to learn if we focus we can learn it relatively fast. There are no real problems with this plan except, patience and cooperation which will take some time since there are some people that don't do well with this.

3. Slow -> Upbeat music

I quite like this idea, as it could really be, well, amazing and no one would expect it. It surprising its unique and everyone can contribute. Thought there are a few problems here and there. One of them is how to intertwine it. Would we write it ourselves or would we go by the beat of other pieces of music? What instruments would we use? How long would each stage last? How many stages would there be? There are a lot of variables and each one can change a lot.

2. Rap Battle

Now before you guys think I'm all biased and stuff... well I actually probably am but I didn't put it in 1st so there's that. The reason I really like this is well, because, I am a fairly good rapper and rapping is basically speaking English really fast so those who are good with English can work with that. But every song has to have a beat, raps especially, and those who think they can't can work on the beat. Though everything could be a bit hard for everyone to memorize but that is the only problem.

1. Tribute to the dead (singers)

I gotta say this is really interesting and creative. Just the idea of a tribute to passed singers sounds really awesome. Though this would be really challenging to coordinate and learn the pieces of music it would still look be amazing once it worked out, this is by far my favorite one.

These are my top five favored ideas, there were so many good ideas so having to pick out five was really hard. But regardless here they are and see you next lesson!
