Lets Look in the Mirror

PVA Reflection

During this whole semester, during this whole creation process and PVA lessons in general I learned quite a bit. One of the biggest things I learned, and I bet a lot of other people will say it too, is teamwork. Now, yeah it sounds cheesy but its true. We NEEDED teamwork to make this happen especially in the timeframe we had. We had to work together with the ideas, the organizing and the performance. It all required to teamwork to pull it off. And even though a lot us aren't known for our... cooperative nature, but we managed.

 Now the performance... yeah. I feel that the performance was actually very well done given our timeframe to practice. And according to friends and family, they said it was either very good or perfect. Watching the recording of the performance one thing really stuck out to me and my family though. We looked like statues at a funeral. We had almost no expression, and was just unsettling to watch. Another thing was the vocalists and harmonies voice. It simply wasn't loud enough. I think this might be because we were moving around too much and didn't stand close enough to microphone, resulting in kind of an on-and-off sound. But overall I think the performance was really good. But I'm gonna be honest here though, I feel as I'm a really good rapper an I was hoping I could do that in the performance but oh well, beggers can't be choosers. During the performance though I could hear most of the important parts, I couldn't hear everything. for example in the recording, I barely heard the harmony. It was more of a whisper than anything.

Aside from the actual performance and our mess-ups during it there are things I need to improve on quite a bit in class. For one thing, I often started off-topic discussions and kinda limited our practice time. I also might be a bit loud? Yeah... I was pretty loud in class. And I also need to stop shoving what I want to say while someone else is talking.

And a reflection wouldn't be a reflection if I didn't talk about the teacher (Well its on the paper but I woulda done it anyways). I'd have to say, Ibu Megan has been far more patient than most teachers when it comes to teaching our year level. Even with people interrupting and stuff like that, you remained patient. We were able to do this BECAUSE of Ibu Megan. So I thank you and I respect you.

In conclusion, this whole semester and Creative Cycle I have learned a lot about not only me but other people as well. I would choose this again but I wanna try other things and on top of that I don't think I can.
